In
1990, Trees Unlimited was founded by Paul Robertson to specialize in
complete forestry services working solely on the behalf of landowners.
Paul and his team of foresters, forest technicians, botanists and
zoologists primary purpose is to promote wise forestry with full
consideration for forest ecology, aesthetics, wildlife habitat, water
resources and recreational uses. The strengths and popularity of Trees
Unlimited is our ability to balance the environmental and economic
issues facing rural landowners.
Part
of Trees Unlimited’s forestry services is to provide a well-planned
forest management program for woodlot owners. Most woodlot owners are
aware of the potential for short-term income from their property.
However, most are not aware that their forest can be managed to increase
the environmental and long-term economic returns. A forest management
program can optimize forest growth, health and quality, generate
balanced revenues, improve species habitat and diversity, reduce
property and income taxes, increase recreational opportunities and
property value.
Trees
Unlimited’s staff have over 40 years of forestry work in Ontario, are
provincially certified tree markers (Advanced) and managed forest plan
approvers. It has provided forestry services to more than 850 private
and corporate landowners in Ontario with ownership’s ranging from one
acre building lots to 15,000 acres of forest. We supervise the
harvesting of more than one million board feet of timber and firewood
per year and plant more than 65,000 seedlings per year, all under proven
conservation practices.
Trees
Unlimited offers woodlot inspections with the landowner to provide
advice on how the landowner’s objectives can be combined with
improving health and value of the woodlot. Revenues and costs are also
discussed.
